GeekPost: What first got you into cosplay, and how long have you been doing it?
Daria: My first cosplay was the Black Swan (inspired by the Natalie Portman movie) back in 2016. At the time, I was a gothic/alternative model and was deeply drawn to the character. I wanted to embody her essence and bring her to life.
GeekPost: Do you have a favorite cosplay that you have done so far? What made it special?
Daria: Yes! My favorite is Xena: Warrior Princess. She was my childhood crush, and I’m really proud of myself for making her armor. It allowed me to resurrect this beautiful character through cosplay.
GeekPost: How do you choose the characters that you want to cosplay as?
Daria: I choose characters who inspire me or ones I feel a strong connection to—like Poison Ivy, for example.

GeekPost: What is the most fun or memorable interaction you’ve had while cosplaying?
Daria: One funny moment that comes to mind happened when I was getting ready for a photoshoot. I was dressed as Yennefer, wearing a latex corset, a wig, high-heeled boots, and all the extras. I had finished my makeup, got fully dressed, and was about to leave for the studio when the doorbell rang. A gentleman from the energy supply company was there to do some routine checks—but he definitely wasn’t expecting Yennefer to open the door!
GeekPost: It is convention season. Do you have a favorite?
Daria: I’m an introvert, so conventions are always a bit stressful for me. I don’t have a particular favorite, but I do plan to attend some events this season.

GeekPost: Do you consider yourself a geek? And if so, why?
Daria: Absolutely! I love anime (I’m a crazy fan of Attack on Titan), video games (The Dark Pictures Anthology series and Detroit: Become Human have stolen my heart), and comics (DC Comics forever!). I am also a huge true crime fan.
GeekPost: How do you balance cosplay with your everyday life and responsibilities?
Daria: Cosplay is a big part of my life, and I’m lucky to have my family’s full support. In a way, I don’t really have to “balance” it—cosplay and my interests are just part of my everyday routine.
GeekPost: What is your favorite part of bringing a character to life?
Daria: Honestly, I love everything about bringing a character to life! From analyzing and creating makeup to sewing the outfit and making props, I enjoy every step of the process.

GeekPost: If you could spend a day as any character you’ve cosplayed, who would it be and why?
Daria: I’d love to spend a day as Vi. For some reason, I feel 100% comfortable as her—probably because I can express certain parts of my personality without fear of being misunderstood.
GeekPost: Is there anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your work?
Daria: Cosplay has no age, gender, skin color, or nationality. I really wish people would be more respectful of all forms of creativity. As for me, I’m just having fun and enjoying it!
